If what you know how to do best, what you achieve, accumulate or gain in life dies with you, then, you are a monumental failure. If you die unsung; if you do not leave an inheritance behind, you will only be like a snake that just crawled through life. Truly, your assignment here on earth has an expiry date; it has a shelf life. There will be a time you will no longer be strong enough to do what you are presently doing. Moreso, death is inevitable; the Bible says there’s a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted (Ecclesiastes 3:2). You can’t remain agile forever; as you grow in age, your strength reduces, hence the necessity to pass on whatever ability or deposit you have to the next generation. No matter how great you are, no matter the number of your inventions, if you do not pass it on or produce a successor, death will be the end of you, but if you desire to keep affecting your generation long after you have gone; leave a legacy behind.
