QUOTE OF THE DAY: “YOU ARE AS LIVELY AS THE HOPE YOU HAVE”
ANCHOR TEXT: “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost”
Hope is the confident expectation, the assurance that what God has promised in the Bible is true. It is not baseless optimism but optimism born of the truth found in God’s word and confirmed by one’s personal experience with God. Hope causes men to lean forward in expectation of a sure future even though the present situation and circumstance may look contrary. It keeps us from staggering through life because it makes visible unto us, the picture of a colourful future we have in God.Many at times, what we are trusting and hoping for might look impossible and not commonsensical, hoping for it and holding unto God’s words will get it done. What have we not seen? What have we not heard? What is difficult or impossible for God? Virtually nothing; with Him all things are possible. In Genesis 21, God visited Sarah when she was already at her post-menopausal age. Interestingly, at old age, she brought forth a bouncing baby boy through normal delivery. Incredible! God is a God of times and seasons; He does inexplicable miracles and proves human report otherwise as long as you believe in the efficacy of His power.
