QUOTE OF THE DAY: “RELEVANT ACTION IS THE EVIDENCE OF FAITH”
ANCHOR TEXT:
“And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus” Matthew 14:29.

Believing and relying on God’s promises is not enough, it is acting on your faith that gets things done. When your words and actions agree with the word of God, receiving answers to request becomes easy. Many claim and confess God’s word, and at the same time contradict their confession by wrong actions. God’s word declares that faith without work is dead which means that living faith must be backed with action before there will be a performance of what the Lord had promised. Abraham had faith and believed God for the promise and it was accounted to him as righteousness. He put his faith into action by doing according to the Lord’s dictates: ‘Be the doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourself’ (James 1:22). The woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5 also acted out her faith.

She believed Jesus could heal her diseases and struggled through the pressing crowds to ‘just touch Jesus robe’. She did not need Jesus to touch her, or speak words to her.
