QUOTE OF THE DAY: “THE JOY OF TODAY IS THE STRENGTH FOR TOMORROW”

ANCHOR TEXT: “But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation always say, “The Lord be exalted!”

Psalm 40:16.

God remains faithful both in thick and in thin – when it is good, and when it is bad. Ordinarily, when you look at the situation of the country and the world at large, there seems nothing to be happy about. Chaos here and there, bombings up and down, civil unrest, hunger, disaster and so on, but despite all, great is God’s faithfulness. It is His faithfulness that sustains man in the face of turbulence. If you lose your joy over the happenings around, you have failed as a child of God. In Psalm 91:7, God said a lot of evil occurrence shall happen around you but He will exempt you. ‘A thousand may fall at your left side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you’.  It is in this promise that you must rest your joy. If your spirit is down and your countenance is low, then the hope of a glorious tomorrow is dicey, but if you are full of joy, you will naturally attract the strength to face tomorrow and make it better than today, you attract help and assistance to move on in life and also secure God’s presence.  The choice is yours; you can either choose to be appreciative of God’s unending mercy and remain relevant in life or be ungrateful and be doomed. If you count your blessings day after day, you will discover God has been good; He is still good and will continue to be good. So, no matter what, look for something to thank God for, it is in thanksgiving that joy, hope and strength spring forth.
