QUOTE OF THE DAY: “HE WHO ABIDES IN CHRIST, ENJOYS EXCEPTIONAL ABILITY”

ANCHOR TEXT: “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing”

John 15: 5.

Webster’s Dictionary defines ‘abide’ as to endure without yielding, to bear patiently, to accept without objection, to remain stable or fixed in a state, to continue in a place. So, to abide in Christ is to remain and continue in, to live and dwell in Christ. If you are outside of Christ, you are fruitless and already a prey to the devil.  Jesus is the vine, we are the branches and we can only live through the vine. QUOTE OF THE DAY: “IN A COMPETITIVE ATMOSPHERE, ONLY THE COMPETENT CARRY THE DAY”

There are enormous quantities of knowledge taught in tertiary institutions that are not applicable and relevant to the real world, because they cannot be translated to value that can be paid for. When I ask: how competent are you? I am indirectly asking; how valuable or skillful are you? (more…)

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “ONLY GOOD CAN OVERCOME EVIL”

ANCHOR TEXT: “On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”  Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good”

                Romans 12:20-21.

How many times have you laboured at an unsuccessful task only to find out that having a particular tool could have saved you a great deal of time and energy? A tool is anything used to achieve a goal; solve a problem, fight a battle. Tools can be physical or spiritual. In the physical, wrong choice of tools could lead to acute frustration, time wastage and ultimate defeat. Above all, the kind of task at hand determines the kind of tools to be employed; physical assignment calls for physical tools, while spiritual task requires spiritual weapon. (more…)
