QUOTE OF THE DAY: TEMPTATION IS NOT SIN YET UNTIL ONE YIELDS TO IT

ANCHOR TEXT: “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak”

                Matthew 26:41.

Temptation is not sin; it becomes sin only when and as the suggestion of the devil is accepted and yielded to. Though the word, ‘temptation’ is now almost universally used in a negative sense, which means to solicit someone to do evil, but I put it to you that temptation is not only associated with evil; it becomes evil when you yield and fall into it. Moreso, temptation does not only come to the evil or to the weak in faith, it’s common to all.  Jesus Christ too was faced with temptation for forty days in the wilderness and He did not deny God.  Whenever we are faced with temptations, it should be considered as joy; this is so because the aftermath of being able to withstand and sail through such periods elevates; brings great reward. When you are not enticed to, sin, when you do not follow the way of disobedience; beautiful medal awaits you in life and in heaven.Every day, we encounter temptations is different forms. We are tempted through our eyes, feelings, sense of smells etc. sometimes, there are situations that will require that you make a choice between belief and unchastely, truth and lies and so on, but when you rely on God and hold on to His words, He will see you through, guide you to choose rightly between what is good and what is evil. But the onus therefore rests on you to either do or not. Having said much about temptations, the question now is; how does one overcome temptations:
